But there is a way for you to acquire a rustic cooler without spending much. You can make your own.

Prepare the following:

Old cooler
5 pcs 8 feet long 2×2’s
1 pc 8 feet long 1×4
Barn wood
Nails
Screws
¾ inch plug
¾ inch pipe coupling
Side handles
Bottle opener

The first thing you have to do is to disassemble the cooler until it’s naked. You need to remove all hardware including the lid. Next is to measure the ruler so you know the measurement for the frame. You need to assemble two frames then connect them together to form the casing. Place the cooler inside the casing and it should fit perfectly.

You can know fix the barn wood to the casing starting from the side then going around. Trim the edges to make it smooth. Make the lid and attach it to the main structure with hinges. You also have to enclose the legs with barn wood to reinforce it.
